Terms

Using SORTED

These starter terms set out what you can expect from SORTED and what we expect from you. They are plain-English guidance for review by a solicitor before a council pilot.

What SORTED is

SORTED is a self-help guide and task companion. It is not a statutory service, legal advice service, or emergency service. It does not replace your council, housing officer, GP, or any other professional support.

PA codes

To open the app you need an active PA invite code from your council or Personal Adviser. Codes can expire or run out of uses. If your code does not work, ask your PA for a fresh one.

Vouchers and rewards

Any vouchers or rewards shown in the app are funded and issued by your council, not by SORTED. Availability, values, and eligibility rules are set by your council and may change. A claim can only be made once per cooldown period.

In an emergency

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. The SOS button in the app is for signposting only; it does not connect you directly to emergency services.

Your responsibilities

  • Do not share your PA code with people outside the programme.
  • Keep your phone and app PIN or lock secure.
  • Do not use SORTED to send threatening, illegal, or harmful content.
  • Understand that advice and entitlements change over time and vary by council area.

Changes and updates

We may update the app, these terms, or the privacy policy as SORTED grows. If the changes affect your rights or data, we will make them clear inside the app or by email.
